Writer's Block: Becoming a TV Character

If you could be any character from any TV show, who would you be and why?
I'd want to be Elizabeth Bennet from the BBC Pride and Prejudice mini series, because I'd get to play alongside Colin Firth (who would also be madly in love with me because he's Mr. Darcy of course).

Or if that doesn't work out, I'd want to be Kate from Lost so that I could hook up with Sawyer :D

Writer's Block: You, the Movie

If your life was made into a movie, what type of movie would you want it to be? Who would you choose to play yourself? Who would play the important people in your life?
I really hope that at some point my life will be interesting enough to make it into a romantic comedy. I'd play myself... Johnny Depp or Harrison Ford could be my dad, Jennifer Aniston or Karen Allen my mom, Matthias Schweighöfer my brother and Abigail Breslin my little sister.

My first boyfriend should be played by Orlando Bloom, and the guy I end up with happily ever after (he has yet to show up in real life) should be Colin Firth... oh, and the bad guy I fall for at some point could be Hugh Grant or Josh Holloway. Anyone notice I love Bridget Jones btw? And Pride and Prejudice?

Oh, my two closest friends should be played by Evangeline Lilly and Emilie de Ravin (is that how you spell her?) from Lost... :)

Writer's Block: Awesome Openers

What are some gripping opening lines from films or books, and why do you think they work so well?
"It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife.

Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice - pretty much sums up the tone and topic of the book right then and there. Really made me want to read this book. And it was most definitely worth it. I'm so in love with Mr. Darcy.

Writer's Block: Your Dream Dinner

If you could have dinner with anyone at all, dead or alive, famous or not, who would you go with? Out of anywhere in the world, where would you eat?
Right now, not taking this too seriously, I'd say Harrison Ford when he was in his late 20s, incredibly sexy but not yet Indiana Jones - so that then he'd fall in love with me and later persuade the Indy-Producers to cast me for the part of Marion Ravenwood :)

Oh, and with Harry and me, it probably wouldn't just be dinner... :) We'd eat at his place of course, or in a restaurant close by, and then... hmm... *decide to stop this right here as am v. tired and could possibly go into details no one wants to hear*

Writer's Block: Food Loves and Hates

What foods can you not live without, and what foods can you not stomach?
I could never live without:

- bread (whole grain bread especially, but also ciabatta and the like. I'm German, what do you expect?)
- veggies of all kinds
- strawberries, mangos and other fruit
- chocolate (sad but true)
- roasted chicken/turkey breast
- cheese
- pasta/rice/potatoes - I'd have to have at least two of those three, I think...
- salads and soups
- sushi

I hate:

- any kind of meat that still has bones or veins or fat in or on it, as well as food that still looks like animals (shrimps with their heads and legs still attached, lobster... why???)
- sweet milk rice (do they have that anywhere other than in Germany?)
- cinnamon rolls (got sick after eating those... now I can't even stand the smell... afraid that might go for clam chowder, too...)

Uhm, other than that, I guess I'm not really picky... maybe that is my problem? But I like most healthy stuff, sometimes better than the not-so-healthy alternative, so no, I don't really get it...
What three dishes could you live on for the rest of your life?
Salads - which already covers pretty much everything from fruit and veggies to meat (salad with strips of grilled chicken/turkey breast is awesome!) and fish/seafood

Soups - come in millions of varieties as well :)

Sandwiches - I stole that idea. I think it's a good one :D

Well, I'd probably miss the sweets. But then again, who's to say you cant make a fruit salad and top it off with some ice cream? It's still salad... :D

Writer's Block: The Bad Habit

Talk about a habit that you just cannot break.
I'm afraid that would be eating too much when really I want to lose weight. Contraproductive, I know. Hate that.

Know that feeling? In the morning, the scale's mean to you and then you sorta get that "I don't give a damn"-feeling even though you know it's absolutely not true and you DO care. And as if to prove that you don't you totally binge on everything you see that day. Chocolate, ice cream, chips, cookies, pizza, whatever. SO BAD. Have been trying to break that habit for two or three years and the result is that I have not lost a single pound.

It will work this time, though. I'm restarting today. full of motivation. We'll see how long it lasts this time, but I'm confident...

Writer's Block: Passionate Eats

What foods do you associate with romance or attraction?
chili, most definitely. strawberries... candy, ice cream, chocolate...

*feels lonely*

feel so fat today.

why can't i stop eating???

everything sucks right now...

got my blood donation pass today. don't know if this is customary in the us or elsewhere but in germany you get like a pass or an id and you show that to people every time you go to donate blood.

turns out my blood type is 0 positive which rocks, because it's what used to be known as "universal donor". even though that's not practiced that much any more, i have been told that people with blood type 0 are still v. much needed :)

love donating blood as it gives me the feeling of doing sth really important and also get rewarded w/ books or food packets for basically doing nothing but lying there for a couple of minutes. got an asian/indian cookbook last time and was v. happy. sis wants me to make naan bread asap, will think about doing that on weekend.

seems to be a good day. weighed self this morning and was FINALLY under 67 kilos again. 66.8. love it! maybe it will finally work.

just so nobody gets this wrong, am not dieting strictly but trying to lose weight by eating healthy stuff and working out :)
